Siren

Caught up in the movement

Of the never-ending push and pull,

Just another piece of sediment drifting

through.

The eternal flow is entrancing.

Debris unwilling gets dragged

Into the

eternal

abyss

The deep dark is cold yet hauntingly beautiful.

I can see the sun reflected upon it,

Illuminating every ripple,

Every collective group of white, foamy

bubbles.

As I barely kiss a piece of freedom,

I am quickly

Collared, once more.

A vortex of brilliantly shining stars

Surround me.

When the light turns on,

Millions of pieces of dark sediment

All get dragged down further, into

the deep
